The New Code of Points from FIG: A Shift Towards Artistry

The International Gymnastics Federation ahs released their 2025-2028 New Code of Points. It has placed a renewed emphasis on artistry, character, and musicality. These changes aim to elevate the expressive and creative aspects of performances, encouraging gymnasts to forge deeper connections with their music and convey genuine emotion. The updated scoring system rewards routines that seamlessly blend technical precision with artistic flair, recognizing the importance of storytelling and individuality in this captivating sport. By prioritizing these elements, the new Code of Points seeks to inspire a generation of rhythmic gymnasts who are not only exceptional athletes but also compelling performers, capable of captivating audiences with their unique interpretations and personalities.

Here is an example of a top international gymnast from Ukraine, Taisiia Onofriichuk performing on Thriller.

In order to reach that level of speed, artistry and technical precision at the highest level, we are preparing our athletes in Portand Oregon by exposing them to different music styles, and incorporating dance and character elements in their routines since the very beginning of their journey.

Cascade Rhythmic: A Commitment to Dance, Artistry and Style Growth

We're not just about winning medals quickly; we're about nurturing their love for the sport and watching them blossom into incredible performers who really connect with the music and pour their hearts into each routine. It's a journey we're excited to be on together, and we can't wait to see how far they'll go!
