Stretching and Strength training essential equipment

Updated: Sep 23

Aleksandra's essential equipment for training, picked on Amazon for this Fall: yoga blocks, resistance band, weights and foot stretcher.

Not all products are required specially at a young age but we thought you might like to see what is used in class that your athlete will eventually need.

Yoga blocks

You might already have your blocks but in case you are looking for more, or cheap ones, these ones look good: Signature Fitness Set of 2 High Density Yoga Blocks, 9"x6"x4" Each, Pair, Multiple Colors $11.99

Resistance bands

Short resistance band are used weekly in training and should be in your kid's bag once they reach the competitive team. Multiple resistance weight will help for a large variety of exercises. Walito fabric exercise loop band $9.99

Elastic resistance band that we use for foot work extensively and joint mobility $9.99

Sveltus workout elastiband with straps, exists in 10kg ( for younger girls), 15kg and 20kg ( teen), $18.53

Ankle weights

We do not recommend adding weights in the training before age 12. Attaching the 2 ankle weight together to create a "waist belt" is a better option and would still be used once in a while. Above is a good price option from Joricy at $14.99.

Foot arch stretcher

We do not use any stretcher in the class, but you can always ask Aleksandra her point of view for your daughter. Every athlete has specific needs, not everyone need to stretch their feet with a stretcher. $51.99

Always ask Aleksandra if your daughter needs any specific equipment in that list, but we hope that will help you.
